In design, an iron clad requirement was that TromboneBuddy™ could NOT get in the way when playing; no small
task! It absolutely must not make the instrument harder to play. This meant it had to be as light, compact, and
operationally transparent as possible; it must not make the slide‘s action slower.

To be truly useful, it needed to be simple, quick and easy to use, tough enough to withstand some abuse, and
store conveniently and accessibly.

Finally, it had to have a very low potential to cause any damage to a delicate musical instrument.

After over two years of intensive development and hundreds of prototypes, these goals have finally come to
